Summit County ADM Board Welcomes New Board Member

Michael J. Irby recently was appointed to the County of Summit ADM Board of Directors and his term will run through December, 2009. Mr. Irby resides in Akron and is employed at the Barberton Health District as a Project Director.

Mr. Irby has over 17 years of experience in the education field both in teaching and administration. He is an active community volunteer and is the current president of 100 Black Men of Greater Akron, Inc. Some of his other community service roles include having served as Chair of the Advisory Board of the Akron YMCA Phoenix Program, a member of the Barberton Kiwanis, Chair of the Summit 2010 Quality of Life Barberton Group, and the Board of Trustees at the Macedonia Baptist Church.

Mr. Irby comments about his appointment, “As a community leader,it is an honor to serve on the County of Summit ADM Board. It is my hope to bring new energy and integrity to the leadership team.”
