Summit County ADM Board Welcomes New Board Member

Patrick  A. McGown recently was appointed to the County of Summit ADM Board of Directors and his term will run through June 30, 2012.  Mr. McGown resides in Barberton and retired from Akron Public Schools after 30 years of service as a school psychologist.

Mr. McGown served on the Board of Child Guidance & Family Solutions for seven years, the last two as president.  He also served on the Advisory Board of the Akron YMCA Phoenix Program for ten years. 

Mr. McGown comments about his appointment, “Retirement has afforded me the opportunity to give back what was so freely given to me. It is my hope that what I may bring to the Board will benefit others in Summit County.”
