Rise Sister
Rise Data Sharing Meeting
Don't
miss the community meeting to
hear about local results from the Rise Sister
Rise research project which was designed to explore the
life experiences of urban adolescent black girls.
Researchers
acquired information about significant adults in their lives, social
relationships, experiences at school, self-image and values, exposure
to trauma and violence, leisure activities, and overall life
satisfaction. Initial results show that these girls have both high
levels of resilience and significant assets but also
face ongoing challenges and threats.
