Program for youth and young adults at risk for psychosis

It is estimated in Summit County 1,040 people ages 10-25 are at high risk for psychosis. C-CAN was developed to provide preventive treatment to those individuals.

Over 449 area runners and walkers came to IBH Addiction Recovery Center to be a part of the 7th annual ADM Recovery Challenge to support the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADM) Services Board. The obstacles on the course are symbolic of the challenges persons often face during the process of recovery from an addiction or mental health condition.

Twinsburg Public Library is helping the community by connecting with County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Board and the Summit County Community Partnership to engage patrons who come to the library about mental health and addiction.

The County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board is recognizing frontline workers and first responders during a week of appreciation, April 29th - May 3rd. The ADM Board encourages all citizens of Summit County to find a way to show gratitude to their local safety forces and those that work in the medical and counseling fields during this week.

The Summit County ADM Board announced the winning medal design at Community Support Service's Art of Recovery event last week. The design will serve as the theme of the Board's upcoming 2019 Recovery Challenge 5K.

For the fifth year, the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board has designated targeted prevention funding for our local schools. Considering results from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey for Summit County (conducted in 2013 and 2018), the Board has allocated $50,000 to fund this initiative. We are currently requesting proposals from local schools to support resources and programming that promote the well-being of Summit County youth.

The County of Summit ADM Board of Directors announces over $49,000 in grants awarded directly to schools in Summit County for prevention education activities for the 2018-19 school year. This special funding allocation is intended to increase parental school involvement and support prevention efforts to enhance skills such as good decision making, self-control, positive peer pressure, emotional awareness and communication.
