IBH Addiction Recovery Center hosted 369 area runners and walkers for the 6th annual ADM Recovery Challenge 5K this past Saturday in support of the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADM) Services Board. In addition to a traditional 5K, participants were challenged by nine obstacles meant to be symbolic of the challenges people face during the process of recovery from an addiction or mental illness.

This year’s top three winners in the men’s division were:

• 1st place: Mark Dudek of Akron 
• 2nd place: Marcus Sedlak of Uniontown
• 3rd place: Isaac Steiner of North Lawrence

This year’s top three winners in the women’s division were:

• 1st place: Hope Murphy of Mogadore 
• 2nd place: Cassie Durdel of Cuyahoga Falls
• 3rd place: Melody Proakis of Akron
